RAMBAN, Sept 16: Three persons were killed in accidents at Nachlana and Nowgam Gund areas of tehsil Banihal.
As per reports, two persons got killed, when the Srinagar bound truck (JK02AL-4155), they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into Bisleri nullah near Nachlana area of tehsil Banihal.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot, retrieved the bodies of the dead persons and shifted them to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal.
One of the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Junaid, son of Mohammad Mian, a resident of district Udhampur. The identity of second deceased was yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, a diesel loaded tanker bearing registration number JK02X-9587 was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into gorge at Nowgam Gund area of tehsil Banihal, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot, retrieved the body and shifted it to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal.
The deceased has been identified as Omkar Singh, a resident of Gadigarh, Jammu.
The bodies were handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
