3 killed in accidents

SRINAGAR, July 10: In a tragic road accident, two youths who were on a bike met a deadly accident in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district resulting in on spot death of the duo, police said.
The two youths were on a bike bearing registration number JKOIW – 6986 and were on way to Tulmulla in the district. Police said the bike collided with a passenger vehicle.
“Both the youths died on the spot as they received critical head injuries,” police said. The accident sent shivers among locals as inner organs of the youths’ skull were exposed. The mishap occurred at Gangerhama in the district at around 12:40 pm.
The slain were identified as Moosa Salam of Tulmulla and Khalid Lateef of Habba Kadal area of the city. Police said the duo were students of Government Polytechnic College Tulmulla. A case been registered in police station Ganderbal.
Meanwhile, A pedestrian died after he was hit by a tipper in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, police said Friday.
A police spokesman said that a tipper bearing registration number JK05B/6880 hit a pedestrian namely Kulveer Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu at Mohra in the district. The pedestrian died on the spot and after completion of medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites, the spokesman said.
