SAMBA, July 15: Three persons were killed and seven others were seriously injured in a tragic road accident at Ring Road Bari Brahmana in this district today.
The accident took place after an ill fated Brezza car bearing Registration number JK02BR3235 and a Fortuner car Number JK21H0786 collided with each other on Ring Road, Bari Brahmana under the jurisdiction of Bari Brahmana Police Station this evening in which nine people were seriously injured.

Both the vehicles were in fast speed and were totally damaged in the accident.
The injured were brought to Vijaypur Hospital for treatment where doctors declared two as brought dead. The remaining eight injured were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu where one lady also succumbed to her injuries later.
The deceased have been identified as Gari Ram, son of Garibu Lal and Ajay Kumar, son of Bachan Lal, both residents of Nogran, Bishnah and Toshi Devi, 40, wife of Bua Ditta of Bishnah.
While two persons were declared as brought dead at Vijaypur Hospital, Toshi Devi succumbed to her injuries at GMC Jammu.
Women and children were also among the injured, whose identity is Avni Devi, aged four years daughter of Kallu, of Bishnah, Manvi Devi aged eight years, daughter of Raj Kumar, of Miran Sahab, Preeti Devi, 30 , wife of Raj Kumar, of Miran Sahab, Raj Kumar son of Ram Lal, Miran Sahab, Suny Devi, six years, daughter of Raj Kumar of Miran Sahab, Reena Devi wife of Kallu, of Miran Sahab and Mintu Kumar son of Subash also of Miran Sahab. They along with Toshi Devi wife of Bua Ditta, resident of Bishnah were referred to GMC. Later, Toshi Devi succumbed to her injuries in GMC Jammu. Her body has been shifted to mortuary of GMC for postmortem.
Soon after the accident, Bari Brahmana Police reached the spot and registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
