3 killed, 2 injured in mishaps

SRINAGAR, June 3: Three persons were killed and two others injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley, police said today.
A pedestrian, Mohammad Shafi Gojri, son of Ghulam Hyder, of Nagrota, Jammu, was hit and injured by a Maruti Eeco bearing registration number JK04B /8434 at Tengpora, Bypass here. Shafi succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
Police has registered a case against the driver of the vehicle Adil Ahmad Baba resident of Kremshoora, Budgam.
Fayaz Ahmad Bajad, 15, son of Ali Mohammad, of Nagbal, Budgam, was killed when an unidentified motorcyclist hit him in his village near Government Middle School, police said today. He succumbed to his injuries at Sub-District Hospital, Charar-e-Sharief. Police said they have registered a case.
A motorcyclist, Sayar Ahmad Sheikh, son of Farooq Ahmad of Yaroo, D.H Pora, died today when his motorcycle bearing registration number JK13A/0968 skidded off the road and fell into Nallah Vishow at Aharbal, Kulgam, Police said. Sheikh was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police said they have registered a case.
A Ford Fiesta bearing registration number JK02AS/4552 hit and injured Haseena Akhtar, wife of Mohammad Rafiq Khan, and her son Saboor Ahmad at Mahindi Kadal, Anantnag, police today said. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police said a case has been registered in this regard.
