KATHUA, Feb 23: Three persons were injured in two road mishaps in Samba and Kathua district today while a dead body of 40 year old male person was recovered under the Ravi bridge in Lakhanpur area today.
As per reports a 70 year old woman identified as Krishna Devi wife of Jeevan Lal of Mirpur was hit by an unknown car at Mirpur today while she was crossing the road. The car fled after the accident. The old lady was shifted by the family to GMC Hospital Jammu for treatment where she is battling for her life. The Rajbagh Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
In another accident an unknown vehicle hit two motor cyclists at Arzai in Samba. The injured have been identified as Rattan Chand, 60, S/o Paras Ram and Bhagat Ram 48, S/o Parkash Chand both residents of Sumb. They were admitted in D H Samba for treatment.
The Samba police has registered a case under relevant sections of law.
Lakhanpur Police has recovered a dead body Gurmeet Singh of Barnoti under the Ravi bridge near Lakhanpur today. The Police shifted the body to DH Kathua for postmortem and also registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation.
