3 hurt in attack on Judge’s house

MENDHAR, Dec 5: Three  members of  the family of  Sub Judge, Kathua, Nuashad Ahmed Khan, were injured when some people including a Police Head Constable, resorted to stoning on the house of the judge at Dhar Galoon in Balakote area of  Mendhar in district Poonch last night.
Police sources said that Head Constable Riaz Ahmed, presently posted as Munshi in Ramban Police Station and hailing from Dhar Galoon had come to his house for the last couple of days. He was allegedly trying to grab some State land at the village near the house of the judge. The elder brother of the judge who is Headmaster and his mother objected to the act of the Riaz Ahmed last evening. This resulted into the verbal duel between them.
Then last night, suddenly Riaz and his men resorted to heavy stone pelting on the house of the Judge and caused extensive damage to the two parked vehicles in the compound, broke the window panes of the house and caused injuries to the mother  Arjum Bi, brother (HM) Javed Ahmed Khan and Bhabhi Tasleem Akhtar. They threatened the family of the judge of dire consequences.
The family contacted SDPO Mendhar and the police party later reached at the village from Gursai Police Station. The judge also spoke to SSP about the matter. The police registered a case FIR No. 124/ 2015 against accused persons under Sections 451/323/336/147/427/504/506 RPC and started investigation. All the 10 accused including Thana Munshi have been booked by police in this connection.
