3 empanelled as IGPs, one shifted

JAMMU, Aug 28: The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC), Government of India, today cleared 43 IPS officers of 1994 batch for empanelment as Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs).
Of 43 empanelled officers, three belonged to Jammu and Kashmir. They included Abdul Gani Mir, IGP Kashmir, Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, IGP Railways and Alok Puri, IGP Vigilance Organization.
Meanwhile, the Government of India has transferred Girish Dayalan, an IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre to Punjab on the ground of his marriage to Amneet Kondal, an IPS officer of Punjab cadre of 2012 batch.
The transfer has been ordered with the concurrence of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab Governments, an official order said.
