‘Modi building Khushal J&K’

SRINAGAR, May 1: Accusing three dynasties who ruled J&K for about seven decades for the turmoil that engulfed J&K in 1989, BJP national general secretary and in charge J&K, Tarun Chugh today said that these three dynasties looted the resources of the erstwhile State and left the common masses in lurch.
Addressing party activists here, Chug said people of J&K are fed up with these three dynastic parties and their leaders so they totally hate them. “First among these dynastic parties figures name of National Conference (NC) and he questioned how Dr Farooq Abdullah, the former Chief Minister who was the son of a teacher, could manage his education in London. Why could not a poor Kashmiris son afford to have education in a foreign country”? he asked.
He said these three dynasties including NC, Congress and Mufti looted and destroyed Kashmir for their vested political interests. “They made one brother to fight with another brother just for their own political interests but the people have now seen through their game plan and they will no more fall in their trap ”, he added.
Chugh said J&K under the Narendra Modi Government is leading on the path of progress and development. “Soon Vandhay Bharat train will reach Kashmir from Delhi. Present Delhi Government is allocating huge funds for development like construction of roads, bridges, tourism projects, hospitals, railways etc”.
Chugh said people of the J&K have to go ahead and not to look backwards. They (people) want peace and progress not violence and hatred, he added.
“This Government is tirelessly working to bring cheers on the faces of people of the UT and make it a `Khushal’ J&K”, the BJP leader said, adding Rs 3000 crore were released for education and road infrastructure. He said such a huge budget has never been allocated for the development.
He criticized the Kashmir centric parties of eyeing towards Pakistan and China. “It is unfortunate that they always dream about Pakistan and China without seeing how much development has taken place in J&K”, he added.
The BJP leader said at the independence of country there were only four airports in India and they too in four big cities while picture is almost different today. He said the NC ruled J&K for decades and their leader has a bungalow in London which shows that they had no love for the people here.
Later talking to reporters, Chugh said that law is same for everyone how supreme he may be.
He, while making a scathing attack on Congress party and the statements given by its leaders said they are in great desperation and hence they are leveling wild allegations against PM Modi. But they will never succeed in their designs as people of this country love PM and they will teach the Congress a lesson.
Chugh also strongly countered NC president and former CM Dr Farooq Abdullah on his remarks at G-20 in which he has questioned the Government for not holding the summit in Jammu.
“What Farooq Abdullah says I can’t understand? Why is he pained for holding the summit at Srinagar? Why he wants that the Summit should not be held at Srinagar and is hell bent that city should be pushed back,”? asked Chugh.
The BJP leader said that Dr Farooq must know that by holding Summit in J&K there will be cultural exchange and it will boost development of entire UT.
Chugh also ridiculed Congress leaders for raising corruption issues and said those who are themselves knee deep involved in corrupt practices are talking of transparency and probity in public life.
He said it was the former Prime Minister and Congress leader, Late Rajiv Gandhi who had publically admitted that out of Rs 100 sent by him from Delhi, only Rs 15 reach people and rest goes down the drain. But under Modi Rs 100 sent from Delhi reaches the people which shows the transparency with which present regime is working, he added.
The meeting at Srinagar was attended by party general secretary, Sunil Sharma, district president, Ashok Bhat and other leaders.
