JAMMU, June 12: Khour and Kishtwar police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered poppy straw and intoxicant tablets from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Khour Police Station led by SHO Inspector Punjab Singh during patrolling near Dhaleri bridge apprehended two drug peddlers along with 840 grams poppy straw.
The arrested persons have been identified as Bajju Ram Sharma, son of Badri Nath of Sailanwali, Pallanwala and Ashok Kumar Sharma, son of Baldev Raj of Dhaleri, Khour.
A case under FIR Number 30/19 under section 8/15 NDPS has been registered at Police Station Khour and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Kishtwar Police Station led by SHO SI Shamim Ahmed and accompanied by SI Jatinder Rakwal under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Sunny Gupta conducted raid in Bagwan Mohalla apprehended a drug peddler along with 950 intoxicant tablets.
The arrested person has been identified as Saqib Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bagwan of Bagwan Mohalla District Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 113/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
