JAMMU, Apr 1: Three drug peddlers have been arrested along with 11 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Karan Chalotra during routine lockdown checking at Maheshpura Chowk intercepted a Maruti Swift Dzire car bearing registration number JK14B-0994.
During checking, police team recovered 11 grams of heroin from the possession of three persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Aman Bindra alias Gora, son of late Ashok Kumar Bindra and Vikas Sharma alias Vicky Dana, son of late Nanak Chand Sharma, both residents of Gurah Bakshi Nagar District Jammu and Naresh Sharma, son of Dev Raj of Indra Colony, Janipur, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 62/2020 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation has been started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
