JAMMU, Sept 24: Police arrested three drug peddlers along with cannabis and poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Mahore Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK20A-8937.
During checking, police team recovered 259 grams of cannabis from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Mohammad Arshad, son of Abdul Rashid Malik and Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Majeed Malik, both residents of Jamslan.
They were involved in supplying and selling of narcotics in Mahore, Chaklas, Jamaslan, Mulas and Sildhar area of Tehsil Mahore.
A case under FIR Number 78/2020 under section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mahore and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck.
During frisking, police team recovered 900 grams poppy straw from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Murad of Rajasthan.
A case under FIR Number 79/2020 under relevant sections has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and investigation started.
