3 die of COVID in Kashmir, 258 test +ve

Srinagar, Oct 27 : Kashmir reported three COVID-19 related deaths today taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1452 while 258 people tested positive in the Valley increasing the infection cases in J&K to 92,677.
The victims from Valley include one each from Srinagar, Kupwara and Bandipora. A 63-year-old man from Rainawari died at Chest Diseases hospital in Srinagar. He was admitted on October 19 and died late last night.
The victim from Kupwara was a 75-year-old man from Deedikoot area while that of Bandipora was a 65-yerar-old man from Muslimabad area.
With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 967 in Valley.
In Kashmir valley, 258 people tested positive taking the positive cases in J&K to 92,677.
Srinagar district with 347 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 143, Budgam 92, Pulwama 80, Kupwara 72, Anantnag 74, Kulgam 46, Bandipora 46, Shopian 35 and Ganderbal 32.
As per officials figures, 18,847 positive cases including 347 deaths and 16,871 recoveries are from Srinagar, 5,899 including 92 deaths and 5,499 recoveries are from Budgam, 5,722 including 4,165 recoveries and 143 deaths are from Baramulla, 4,597 including 4,296 recoveries and 80 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,320 including 72 deaths and 3,863 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,189 including 3,816 recoveries and 74 deaths are from Anantnag, 3,994 cases including 3,707 and 46 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,458 including 3,251 recoveries and 32 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,460 including 2,316 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,178 including 2,059 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Shopian.
The total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached 55,664 including 49,843 recoveries and 967 deaths.
The total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 6,990 including 4,854 from Kashmir division
With 751 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 84,236 which is 90.89 percent of the total cases.
Out of 2,214,645 samples processed so far in J&K, 2,121,968  tested negative and 92,677 positive. Among them 6,990 are active, 84,236 persons have recovered and 1,451 persons died.
