UDHAMPUR, May 3: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Avny Lavasa today held a meeting with the district officers to review the arrangements for the three-day Annual Moungri Mela which would start from May 14.
The concerned departments were asked to make required arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Mela. Tehsildar Moungri was deputed as the Mela officer.
The departments like Horticulture, Agriculture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Fisheries, Sericulture were asked to put up their stalls at the Mela site for generating awareness among the common masses about the departmental schemes.
The three day Mela attracts a large number of pilgrims to the the Holy Shiv- Parvati cave, where they pay obeisance to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Chief Education Officer Bishan Singh, CEO MC Santosh Kotwal, DSWO Rachna Sharma, AD FCS & CA Haroon Naik, AD Tourism Shaziya Rehman, DYSSO Sudesh Kumar, CAO A. K. Koul , DIO Esha Chib besides Patron -in-chief Lord Shiva -Parvati Caves Shrine Moungari and President J& K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and prominent citizens attended the meeting.
