BANI (KATHUA), Dec 13: Three-day free eye screening and surgical camp, jointly organized by NHPC Limited Sewa II Power Station Mashka and Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur, at Sub District Hospital Bani, concluded here today.
The camp was inaugurated by MLA Bani, Lal Chand in the presence of Chief Engineer Sewa II Power Station, P K Langer, D N Sharma, chairman, Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur, Dr Rajinder Kumar, BMO Bani and other prominent citizens of the area.
The camp, which started on December 9 was extended for 1 more day on the over whelming response among the people of Bani area.
The camp was concluded by Chief Engineer, NHPC Ltd Sewa II Power Station Mashka, P K Langer.
350 patients were examined in the camp, out of which 86 were operated for implantation of Intra ocular Lens at Sub District Hospital Bani. The camp was fully sponsored by NHPC Ltd Sewa II Power Station Bani under CSR.
The patients suffering from cataract blindness and other eye ailments were operated by Dr M K Yadav and his team.
