KATHUA, Jan 2: Khadi Village and Industries Board Kathua has organised three-day district level exhibition- cum- sale at Brahmin Sabha here.
DDC Kathua Jitendra K Singh inaugurated the exhibition. Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB Nasir Ahmed Muzaffer, District Officer KVIB Jagmohan Singh were present on the occasion.
DDC Kathua Jitendra K Singh inspected the stalls of KVIB sponsored units. The hand knitted woollen cloths, pashmina shawls, khadi cloths, travel bags, honey, flex sign board etc. have been displayed by the KVIB sponsored entrepreneurs.
While speaking on the occasion, DDC Jitendra K Singh appreciated the efforts of the KVIB for organising the exhibition/ sale of the various products manufactured / produced by the budding entrepreneurs. He said that exhibition will help in marketing of the products and in boosting the morals of the entrepreneurs. He appealed the unemployed youth for self employment rather than waiting for Government jobs.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB Nasir Ahmed Muzaffer said that the main objective behind organising the exhibition is to provide marketing support to the KVIB sponsored income generating units besides educating and inspiring the unemployed youth to adopt self employment. He called upon the unemployed youth for becoming employer rather than an employee. He said that department provides complete support to the entrepreneurs at every stage in the establishment and running of the units for three years.
