JAMMU, Jan 18: RS Pura police arrested three criminals along with three country made pistols, live cartridges and two sharp edged weapons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from RS Pura Police Station led by SI Kuldeep Kumar laid a naka at Tanda Road near Kotli Shah Daula and intercepted a Swift car bearing registration number JK02BJ-3206.
During checking, police recovered 2 country made pistols, 2 live cartridges and one sharp edged weapon from the possession of three persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shubham Kumar alias Shibu, son of Des Raj of Danda, RS Pura, Shiva Pratap Singh, son of Rashpal Singh of Karthorli, Dhayansar, Bari Brahmana District Samba and Ajay Jamwal, son of Narinder Singh of Dharap District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 9/19 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation of the case is going on.
Meanwhile, a team from RS Pura Police Station led by SI Sudesh Kumar and assisted by ASI Ghulam Nabi arrested one more criminal along with sharp edged weapon and country made pistol.
The arrested person has been identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Anant Ram, a resident of Tanda, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 7/19 under Section 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
The arrests were made under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
