3 chemist shops seized

REASI, Feb 22: Drug Inspection team, assisted by Police, seized three chemist shops for illegally selling H1 drugs and not installing CCTV cameras in the shops.
Police team along with Drug Inspector Vipin Kachroo conducted a surprise checking at chemist shops in Talwara and Seela area and found selling of H1 drugs illegally, which requires prescription from Doctor for selling the same.
During inspection of ‘Ajay Medicos’ chemist shop at Zero Morh Talwara, was unable to provide the record of H1 drugs and also CCTV cameras was not found in the shop. Due to the fault, the shop was been seized/closed under 22 D of Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1940.
Similarly during inspection of ‘Navh Medical Hall’ Chemist shop, at Zero Morh Talwara, was unable to provide the record of H1 drugs and also CCTV cameras was not found in the shop.
In ‘Satya Medical Hall’ at Seela, Reasi also, the retailer was selling H1 drugs illegally and did not maintain the record of H1 drugs while CCTV cameras was not installed in the shop.
Taking action, all the three chemist shops were seized/closed under 22 D of Drugs and Cosmetic Act 1940.
