3 bootleggers held, illicit liquor seized

KATRA, Nov 28:   Continuing its drive against smuggling of liquor to holy town Katra, Reasi Police today arrested three bootleggers from different places and seized illicit liquor.
A Police team, headed by Incharge PCP Searli, under the supervision of SHO Katra, Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SDPO Katra, Dr Ashok Sharma, Addl  SP Katra Sumir Kotwal, and SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar, intercepted one person namely Abdul Majid of Panassa and recovered 22 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor, one bottle measuring 750ml and one bottle measuring 375ml of XXX Rum from his possession. The accused person was arrested and recovered liquor has also been seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 191/2015 U/S 48-A Act, 188/RPC has been registered at Police Station Katra.
Similarly, a Police team, headed by SI Ved Parkash of Police Station Reasi  and overall supervision of SSP  Sujit Kumar,  laid a naka at IRP Chowk Reasi and intercepted two persons namely Ashok Kumar of  Parthal Serbad  Katra and  Sahil Sharma of  Didi Pangal, who  were on way towards Katra from Reasi  for smuggling liquor.  40 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K excise liquor were recovered from their possession. Both the accused persons were arrested and recovered poly pouches of liquor were seized.
A case FIR No. 169/2015 U/S 48-A Excise Act has also been registered at Police Station Reasi.
