RAJOURI, Dec 30: In two separate successes, Police today arrested three persons along with contraband drugs near the main town in Rajouri.
SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas said that a team of Police Station Rajouri, headed by SHO Ajaz Haider under the supervision of DySP PC Pranav Mahajan laid a general traffic checking naka at Water Point Muradpur on highway for frisking of vehicles.
During checking, a car bearing number JK11C- 8534 was stopped for frisking and a consignment of 40 grams of contraband drugs was recovered from the vehicle. Two persons travelling in the vehicle, namely Haroon Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of ward number 2 Rajouri and Waseem Raja, son of Mohammad Rafiq, resident of ward number 4, Rajouri, were arrested on the spot.
During another naka, a Xylo vehicle PB10EQ- 4696 was subjected to frisking near Rajouri town and 20 grams of contraband drug was recovered. Driver of the vehicle, namely Mohammad Shabir Sheikh, son of Ghulam Hussain Sheikh, resident of Kheora Rajouri, was also arrested.
Two separate cases, FIR number 721/2018, under section 8/21/29/60 NDPS Act and FIR 722/2018, under sections 8/21/60 NDPS Act have been registered at Police Station Rajouri.
