3 absconding bovine smugglers arrested

KATHUA, May 20: Police arrested three absconding bovine smugglers, who were at large for the past few months.
As per police spokesman, on specific information, a team from Kathua police station conducted raid and nabbed three absconding bovine smugglers, who were evading their arrest for the past few months.
The accused have been identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Shafi of Maggar Khad, Surmu Din alias Biru, son of Ali Hussain of Lakhanpur and Maskeen Ali alias Miku, son of Mohammad Yosuf of Ward Number 12, Kathua. They are involved in series of bovine smuggling cases and often managed to escape from the clutches of police by taking benefit of the darkness.
Further investigation into the cases registered against them is going on.
Police team led by SHO Kathua Inspector Anil Kumar Sharma and assisted by Incharge Hatli police post SI Verinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua SS Sambyal and SSP Kathua Mohammad Suleman Choudhary.
