Srinagar, July 23: The Departmental Promotion Committee under the chairmanship of ADGP Armed S.M.Sahai has approved promotions of 260 officers and officials of J&K Armed Police.
The promotes include 48 ASIs to the rank of Sub Inspectors, 59 Head Constables as Assistant Sub Inspectors, 78 Senior Grade Constables as Head Constables and 65 Constables to the rank of Senior Grade Constables, a police spokesman said.
The ADGP while congratulating the newly promoted officers and officials extended his warm greetings to them and their family members. He expressed the hope that they will continue to work with the same devotion and dedication in future.
Sahai said that the promotions shall act as a morale booster for the promotees. “It has been the endeavor of the Departmental Promotion Committee to fill-up all the vacancies in time by granting promotion to officials,” he added.
