POONCH, July 20: The District Police in a special drive amidst Covid-19 today seized 25 vehicles and challaned nearly 100 others for violations.
Official sources said that on the directions of SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral, SHO Poonch SD Singh and police team laid a special naka at Nakhan Wali Road and challaned hundred vehicles and seized 25 others under different violations including Motor Vehicle Acts, over loadings, avoiding social distancing and other Covid SOPs, driving without licences, using mobile phones while driving, not wearing crash helmets, triple riding, over speeding, etc.
DySP Zaffar Rather appealed all the parents not to allow their minor children to drive which is grave violation of norms and can draw stern action as per law. They further Challaned those who were not following SOPs during Pandemic of COVID-19. They urged upon the masses to wear facemask and keep social distancing during the Pandemic of COVID-19.
