RAJOURI, Sept 26: Joint Director School Education Department, Rajouri-Poonch, Abdul Hamid today visited various schools in Thannamandi area of district Rajouri and placed 25 teachers and masters under suspension.
While many teachers were found un-authorisedly absent from duty, some had not checked home work of the students for months together. Taking serious note of the performance of the teachers and heads of Govt Higher Secondary School Thannamandi and Govt High School Azmatabad, the Joint Director placed 25 teachers under suspension, pending inquiry. He also sought explanation of the heads of these schools.
Twelve teachers of Govt HSS Thannamandi placed under suspension are- Ayaz Raina, Shagufta Parveen, Rubina Mirza, Rehmat, Sofia Akhtar, Mukhtar Ahmed, Afaq Mir, Shahida Parveen, Sadia Parveen, Zaffar Javed, Araf Ghani and Shabir Malik.
Thirteen teachers from Govt High School, Azmatabad placed under suspension are- Munshi Khan, Mohd Rashid, Shahid Tariq, Mohd Farooq Mir, Ishfaq Raina, Javid Abbas, Zaffar Javid, Fiaz Ahmed Raina, Rabia Parveen, Imtiaz Ahmed, Gulshan Ara, Tasleem Akhtar and Manzoor Iqbal.
Principal, DIET Rajouri will head three-member inquiry committee which will submit report to the Joint Director within one week.
