KATHUA, Feb 16: Kathua police recovered 25 bovine animals and seized four trucks in which they were being smuggled from Punjab to Kashmir valley this afternoon.
A police party during a routine check up stopped four trucks at Magar Khar near here and on physical verification found that they were loaded with bovine animals which were being carried from Punjab to Kashmir valley.
All the inmates of the trucks fled from the spot barring Ghulam Din who was arrested by the police.
A FIR under Section 180 has been registered against the bovine smugglers and animals and trucks are under the custody of Kathua police.
