25 bovine animals rescued, 3 smugglers arrested

REASI, May 31: In continuation to its special drive against the menace of bovine smuggling launched on the directions of SSP Reasi, Nisha Nathyal, Police today rescued 25 number of cattle, which were being smuggled to Kashmir from Chasana.
Police also arrested three smugglers, who were taking these bovine animals by foot towards Kashmir without any valid permission. They were intercepted by a Police party of PS Mahore and PS Chasana during a joint naka at Badar.
The arrested accused were identified as Naseem Mohammad, son of Sahi Mohammad , Qadar son of Baga and Kaka Hussain , son of Fakir Hussain, all residents of Chana Mahore.
In this regard, case FIR FIR number 32/19, U/S 188 RPC, has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
Meanwhile, Reasi Police today arrested one of the three assailants, who had made a murderous assault on one Irfan Iqbal of Reasi on May 29. The arrested accused was identified as Kapoor Singh, son of Shanker Singh of Tran Morh, Reasi.
On his instance, a Maruti car RJ34CA-0792, used for commission of offence, has also been seized. Manhunt for the other accused is going on.
