REASI, June 25: Police today foiled a major attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 24 animals besides arresting the accused person in Mahore area.
Specific information was received at Police Station Mahore that some persons were on way along with bovine animals towards village Dumail Nar Kindora without any legal permission and had reached near Adbase. A Police team, led by I/c PP Dewal, intercepted the smuggler and rescued 24 bovine animals, which were being taken towards Kashmir.
The accused, namely Roshan Din of Adbase, Mahore was arrested and a case under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered in this regard at Police Station Mahore.
