SRINAGAR, Sept 26: Out of 3000 youth, a total of 236 have successfully qualified the first phase of Army recruitment rally that was conducted at Anantnag district of South Kashmir from September 21 to September 25.
A defence spokesman said the rally was held for Budgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag and Kulgam districts. “Over 3000 motivated youth competed with one another in the rally to serve their nation and for their pride and honour. After the entire screening process that includes stringent physical and medical tests, 236 candidates have successfully cleared the first phase and qualified for the entrance test which will be conducted on October 23,” he said.
The spokesman said the successful culmination of the rally in South Kashmir is “indicative of the passion and desire among the youths to serve their nation and make entire nation proud of their grit, valour and dedication”. “These youth have acted as messengers of peace and hope and have given a clear signal to the inimical elements of their true aspirations,” he added.
