LEH, Aug 1: UT Disaster Response Force has rescued 20 tourists of SAIL Tata company.
As per officials, a team of 20 tourists of SAIL Tata company was on three days trekking to village Rumbak and was supposed to come down yesterday.
Due to rise in the water level of the stream, the team got trapped and could not return.
On getting information today morning, a team of UT Disaster Response Force led by Inspector Tsewang Namgial walked 7 kilometers and rescued these 20 tourists by crossing the same stream four times.
The tourists, who were rescued, were Anish Verma, Dhiraj Kumar, Manish Kumar Jha, Faraz Abbasi, MPV Naidu, SK Sahoo, Mani Kant Choudhary, Abhik Mukherjee, Durgesh Kumar, Manish Jaiswal, Nitin Agnihotri, Ritest Jain, Anil Kumar Reddy, Santosh Kumar, Nitish Swarup, Ankur Srivastava, Avinash Sharma, Vivek Agarwal, Rudra Prasad Gayen and Nitin Subramanian.
The tourists expressed gratitude to the team of UT Disaster Response Force for rescuing them.
