RAJOURI, Aug 7: Two drug- peddlers were arrested along with charas in Thannamandi area of Rajouri district today.
Reports said a police party under the supervision of SDPO Thannamandi, Sajjad Khan and led by SHO Fareed Ahmed during patrolling at Alal bridge, intercepted two persons namely Ashfaq Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Baryoon and Mohd Mahroof, son of Haji Kala from Neli, Thannamandi.
They were moving in suspicious conditions and both the persons were caught red handed along with five (5) challis of charas which they had kept illegally in their possession for selling to youth of the area. Both were arrested and challis of charas seized on the spot. A case FIR No. 150/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection and investigation launched.
