UDHAMPUR, Nov 16: In separate incidents, two newly married women attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective house of in-laws at village Badola and Ku Nallha in district Udhampur.
According to the police report, Kamla Devi (30), wife of Joginder Kumar of Badola, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances. Family members rushed her to District Hospital Udhampur and later she was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of her serious condition.
Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case for further investigation.
In another case, Shain (30), wife of Rashid Khan of Ku Nallha, consumed poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her house. She was also shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Udhampur police has registered the case and started investigation.
