UDHAMPUR, July 3: In a tragic road accident, two local wrestlers were knocked to death by a rashly driven tanker at Dhema near Majalta, here late last night.
The deceased were identified as Mushtaq, son of Gani of Parthal Katra and Zakir, son of Fajji of Gaddar Roundmail, Udhampur. Riding a motorcycle, they were on way to home after participating in a Dangal (wrestling) at Ramkot when the tanker bearing registration number JK02AA-6687 hit their bike JK14C-8952 at Dhema near Majalta.
Even as the duo was rushed to Primary Health Center (PHC) Majalta by Police, doctors declared them as brought dead.
Acting swiftly, Majalta Police seized the tanker and arrested its driver. A case has been registered in this connection.
