KATHUA, Aug 25: The sleuths of Excise Department conducted raids in various areas of the district and destroyed 2 working stills, 25 bottles illicit liquor and 1250 kgs lahan.
On the directions of the Excise Commissioner Mohammad Javed Khan and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Syed Muried Hussain Shah, the excise team Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta and Inspector Excise, Arun Kumar raided the Sumwan, Mahi Chak and Sonthali areas of the district.
In the process, 2 working stills, more than 1250 kilograms of lahan and 25 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered and destroyed later.
