2 women raped in Kandi, accused absconding

RAJOURI, Feb 2: Kandi police has registered two rape cases against four accused persons who are still at large.
Official sources said through CJM Court Rajouri, the Kandi Police has registered a rape case against one Mohd Shabir, son of Din Mohd, resident of Hubbi village in Rajouri. It has been alleged by the young woman that Shabir on the pretext of marriage committed rape on her several times but later refused. Even after her marriage now, he was following her and harassing and even again committed rape. The police has registered an FIR No. 11/ 2021 against him after the family lodged the report through a local court.
Another case FIR No. 12/ 2021 has been lodged against accused Mohd Shakoor, son of Abdul Hussain of Dhar Sakri village and two others at Kandi Police Station in connection with another rape case. The victim Hazara Begum (name changed) from Swari village alleged that she was packed in Tata Mobile vehicle from Palma area and taken to Rehan area where driver and his two associates committed rape on her in nearby forest. They threatened her to kill if she shared information with family or police. The police was searching for the accused who are still absconding.
