2 suspected Pak spies held

JAMMU, May 28: Army today detained two suspects while videographing military station Ratnuchak here on city outskirts.
“Two persons were found roaming near Military Station Kaluchak this morning,” reliable sources here said.
They added that Army persons on finding them suspicious, detained them for questioning.
“Two individuals were caught while making video of layout of Ratnuchak Military Station,” sources said and added that the individuals have confessed being on the payment of a handler and have forwarded photos and videos of military Stations and Cantt areas to the handler on a regular basis.
“It is assessed that they were part of a recce group looking for any weaknesses or voids in the security arrangements,” sources added and said that the troops have been asked to remain extra vigilant.
Sources added that Pakistani links were reportedly established of both the persons while some videographs, pictures and maps were also allegedly found from their possession.
Sources identified the arrested suspects as Mushtaq Ahmed and Naseem Akhtar, residents of Malhar (Kathua) and Rajouri respectively.
“Both the persons have been handed over to the police for further action,” they said adding that more details were awaited.
