2 Punjabis rescued from Sinthan Top

KISHTWAR, Oct 20: Police here today rescued two persons from Punjab who were trapped in snowfall at Sinthan Top area.
Kishtwar Police received a distress call from the two Punjabis travelling from Anathnag to Kishtwar.
In response, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal, directed SHO Police Station Chatroo, Inspector Sandeep Parihar, to launch a rescue operation.
The operation was successful and both the trapped persons were safely rescued.
The meticulous planning and swift response of Kishtwar Police ensured the safe retrieval of Piyush Vij, son of Rakesh Kumar Vij, resident of Old Madhavpuri, Ludhiana and Mohd. Sharief, son of Mohd. Mussa, resident of Farwali near Malerkotla, Punjab.
A handout of Police Department stated that the rescued persons were in good health and they expressed gratitude to Kishtwar Police.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal reminded all the residents and visitors to exercise caution while traveling to remote or high-altitude areas, especially considering unpredictable weather conditions.
