2 pilgrims die of heart attack enroute Vaishnodevi Shrine

JAMMU, Aug 26: Two pilgrims today died of heart attack at Katra enroute to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine, in Reasi district, sources said.
Murli Sharma (56) son of Ved Nath Sharma, resident of Jhalwar Rajasthan suffered a heart attack near Ban Ganga enroute to holy cave shrine nestled in Trikuta hills in Katra of Reasi district this morning, police sources here today said.
He was immediately shifted to Government Hospital Katra where doctors declared him as brought dead, sources said adding that the body was handed over to family after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, in the evening another pilgrim identified as Jagdish Babber (50) son of Pyare Lal Babber, resident of Begu Road, Sirsa (Haryana) collapsed due to heart attack enroute to the holy cave of Vaishno Devi at Darshani Deodi.
He was immediately shifted to Government Hospital Katra, where doctors declared him as brought dead, they added.
