2 persons commit suicide in Panchari

UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: In two separate incidents of suicide in Panchari block, a farmer ended his life by hanging himself at his house while another committed suicide by consuming poison.
According to the police report, Ashok Kumar (42), son of Baechitru, resident of village Thatli in Panjjar was found hanging in his house under mysterious circumstances. Family member called the Police following which SHO Panchari, Vikas Dogra rushed to the spot along with a police team and shifted the dead body to PHC Panchari for the postmortem.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered the case under the section 174 and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, one Santosh (53), son of Hans Raj of village Katti in Panchari committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence.
The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to PHC Panchari. In view of his serious condition, doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur where he died.
The police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the body to family members for the last. Case has been registered in this connection for further investigation and ascertain the cause of committing suicide.
