REASI, Sept 14: Two Patwaris of Pouni Tehsil in district Reasi were placed under suspension for remaining absent from duty and not conducting proper assessment of damages due to rains in their respective areas.
A senior Revenue official in the district identified the Patwaris as Riaz-ul-Haq and Shah Nawaz. He said that on the basis of public complaints and preliminary inquiry conducted by Tehsildar Pouni Munshi Ram, both the Patwaris were placed under suspension and attached to DC office. There were complaints against them with regard to the dereliction of duty and not visiting their respective areas for loss assessment despite directions from the senior officers.
