Srinagar, Feb 8: Police today busted two modules of Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of militants and arrested five of them from Budgam district in Central Kashmir and Bandipora district in North Kashmir.
Acting on a specific information, Budgam police busted a Hizbul Mujahideen OGW module active in the Chadoora area of district Budgam.
The arrested OGWs were affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen and have been identified as Amir Shafi Dar, Shabir Ahmed Ganie, residents of Chadoora and Mudasir Ahmed Khan, resident of Pulwama.
Police said that these persons were active in the area for last few months and were involved in various subversive activities and providing shelter and logistic support to militants.
Police said that on their disclosure, arms and ammunition have also been recovered. Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of law in Police Station Chadoora and investigation have been taken up.

And three OGWs of LeT were arrested in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Police said that on 7th February Police Station Hajin received information that posters of LeT have surfaced at various spots in Hajin inciting common masses against police and state of India.
Police registered a case (FIR no 06 Police Station Hajin, US 13 ULA Act, 506 IPC dated 07-02-2020) and raided several places in Hajin and busted an OGW module behind it and recovered incriminating material from them.
The arrested OGW’s have been identified as Irfan Aziz Bhat son of Abdul Aziz Bhat of Syed Mohalla Hajin, a student of LLB and Mohammad Asif Paray son of Abdul Khaliq Paray of Bon Mohalla Hajin, owner of Sagar Tele Communication SIM Card Retailer.
Police recovered a Laptop HP Core i3, one Laptop charger, one Keyboard, one Mouse, one Espon Printer cum scanner, one damaged HP printer cum scanner, one Espon Black ink, one rim of A4 size paper, 14 Photo paper sheets, one Redmi Note 7s, one Intex Dongle, one Pen drive, one OTG, five Card Readers, 4 Memory cards, 20 SIM Cards with Airtel 9, Jio SIM cards 5, Idea 3, Vodafone 2 and Reliance SIM Card 3, one Fake Election Card of Irfan, one fake driving license of a person Mohammad Akbar, Software Discs and one Laptop Bag from Irfan Bhat.
One Canon Desktop, one Epson printer cum scanner 3D02, one Scanner cum printer 2 in 1, one Epson yellow and black ink, one D-link router, 30 SIM cards including 11 of Airtel, 16 of BSNL and one each of Vodafone, Aircel and Reliance, five Fake Election Cards, one Fake D/L, one Fake R/C , Credit Card 3D01, two damaged phones and four Stamps were recovered from Mohammad Asif Parray.
