2 nabbed with heroin in Surankote

POONCH, Mar 8: The police nabbed two drug-peddlers and recovered a consignment of narcotics from their possession in Surankote area today.
SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral said that a police team of Poonch’s Surankote Sub Division headed by DySP, Khaliq Hussain and SHO Tilak Raj was on routine patrolling at Madana in Surankote when two men were signalled to stop for routine frisking but duo tried to escape the frisking.
However, SSP said, cops on duty put the duo to frisking and recovered 124 grams of heroin from their possession. They have been identified as Sajjad Ahmed, son of Muzaffar Ahmed and Ahjaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Salam, both residents of Seri Khawaja village of Surankote.
SSP said that a case FIR No. 51/2021 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and investigation of the case is going on to break forward and backward linkage of the consignment.
