POONCH, Feb 26: The police nabbed a driver and conductor of a mini-bus in Surankote area and recovered 230 gms of brown sugar from their possession today.
Reports said that acting on a specific information, a police party from Surankote led by SDPO, Asgar Malik laid a naka at Potha during the day and intercepted mini-bus no. JK02Q/0640. During search of the vehicle, 230 gms of brown sugar was recovered. They arrested driver Imtiaz Ahmed, son of Nazir Hussain and conductor Sheraz Ahmed, son of Qadir Hussain, both residents of Lassana.
The police has registered a case FIR No. 16/ 2018 against the accused persons in this connection. The arrest of some more people is likely after their interrogation. The police has also seized the vehicle.
