2 killed, seven injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Oct 5: Two persons were killed, while seven others were injured in different road accidents in Baramulla and Kargil.
A police spokesman said an unknown vehicle hit and injured a 10 year-old boy namely Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat at Odina village of Pattan in North Kashmir. The injured was shifted to Noora Hospital Srinagar where doctors declared him brought dead, said the spokesman, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
He said an Alto 800 hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Mohammad Ibrahim at Main Bazar of Sankoo in Kargil district. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment,” said the spokesman, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
The police spokesman said a Maruti Van bearing registration number JK10A-1249 met with an accident at Pasgoo village of Kargil district, resulting in injuries to seven persons including the driver. “The injured were shifted to hospital where driver of the vehicle succumbed to his injured,” said the spokesman, adding that police have registered a case in this regard.
