JAMMU, Feb 2: At least two people were killed in separate road accidents in Jammu District on Thursday, police said.
They said that an unknown person, aged around 22, was found injured in a nallah near Bus Stand, Trikuta Nagar Complex, Jammu.
He was taken to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, police said.
In another case, they said, one Rakesh Kumar (40) son of Mangal Dass of Ward Number 1, Purne Kothe, Sandwa area was injured after he was hit by a tractor near his home.
“He too was pronounced as dead on arrival by the team of doctors at Medical College Jammu,” police said, adding, “bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital after completing the legal formalities and cases under relevant sections of the law stand registered”.
Further investigations have been taken up, added the police.
