RAMBAN, July 21: Two persons were killed in collision of three vehicles near Batote on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this evening.
Police sources said that a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK14C-6824 and two trucks bearing numbers PB23K-4815 and PB06G-5181 collided with each other on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Batote. Click here to watch video
In the accident, Tata Mobile suffered extensive damage leading to death of both the persons travelling in it.
On getting information, police team from Batote Police Station rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to hospital for post-mortem. The deceased have been identified as Usman Farooq, son of Mohd Farooq of Batote and Basharat Ahmed, son of Khursheed Ahmed of Doda.
All the three vehicles involved in the accident have been seized by the police.
