2 killed, five injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR, July 2: Two persons died and five others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
Reports said that a motorcycle on way from Budgam to Choon rammed into a Chinar tree near Town-Hall, Budgam, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Mohammad Irfan Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Choon, Budgam. Irfan was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. The body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
A Tractor bearing registration number JK05A/6753 skidded off the road, near Kalantra Payeen-Kreeri, resulting in on spot death of Muhammad Ramzan Shah son of Muhammad Sidiq resident of Kakawthal, Baramulla. The body was handed over to his next of kin for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Tavera bearing registration number JK03B/0281 hit and injured, Altaf Ahmad Chauhan aged about 15 years son of Mir Chauhan resident of Aharbal, near Aharbal- Kulgam. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kulgam where from he has been referred to SKIMS-Soura for further treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Maruti car JK03/2201, driven by Adil Yousuf Buhroo son of Muhammad Yousuf resident of Nadihal, Bandipora rolled down off the road, near Nedous Hotel-Gulmarg, resulting in injuries to Zoona aged 60 years wife of Abdul Ahad Rasray resident of Khag, Beerwah and driver of the vehicle. Both the injured were shifted to PHC Gulmarg for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A mini-bus JK04/6401 collided with a motorcycle number JK04/5962, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist, Farooq Ahmad Sheikh son of Ali Mohammad resident of Doolipora-Budgam and pillion, Mukhtar Nabi son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Charangam-Budgam. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
