RAMBAN, Oct 10: Two persons were killed when a vehicle skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and rolled down into gorge in Digdol area.
“The vehicle bearing registration number PB35-4505 was carrying poultry from Punjab to Kashmir when it rolled down into a 1000-meter deep gorge near Digdol, early this morning,” a police official said.

He said in the mishap, both driver and cleaner died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Rakesh Singh (30) son of Jaswant Singh and Keshav Singh (25) son of Maggar Singh, both residents of Gharota Road, Pathankot.
“After getting conducted postmortem at Sub District Hospital, Ramban, the bodies were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at concerned police station,” the police official added.
