2 killed, 9 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, June 5: Two persons died, while nine others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said Mohammad Amir Khan son of Mohammad Shafi Khan of Nambal who was injured in a road accident at Mattan, Anantnag, on Monday, has succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura last evening.
A Wagon-R car JK01U/8404 and Auto load carrier JK13B/7961 collided near Begumbagh crossing Kakapora in Pulwama, resulting in injuries to five persons. Among the injured persons, Haroon Bihari succumbed to his injuries while on way the hospital.
A Tipper JK09/5069 hit a motorcycle JK05C/2547 at Brartpora, Handwara, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and a pillion. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Maruti car JK02J-9701 turned turtle at Gulab Bagh in Qazigund, resulting in injuries to three persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Qazigund police has registered a case in this regard.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in all these accidents.
