2 killed, 3 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Oct 7: Two persons including a Head Constable of J&K Police were killed while three others sustained injuries in three separate road mishaps in different parts of Jammu region.
According to the reports, a police constable posted at Police Post Chatha, died when his motor bike collided with another speeding motor bike at Tali Morh, Miran Sahib. The Head Constable identified as Kulbir Singh (42) son of Gian Singh and resident of Chawala (RS Pura) received serious injuries in the mishap following which he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the cop was handed over to family members after conducting post mortem.
A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigations started.
In Siot area of Sunderbani, a speedy Army vehicle hit a scooter and injured Vicky Kumar son of Raj Kumar resident of Siot and Ritanshu Chadha son of Sanjeev Kumar of Siot. Both were shifted to GMCH, Jammu, where Vicky succumbed to his injuries. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Another road mishap took place at Flyover, opposite out gate Bus Stand, Jammu. According to a police spokesperson, one Jagdish Kumar (42) son of Satpal and resident of Tali Morh, Miran Sahib, along with his 10 years child, Himanshu, was on his way to home on his bike, when he lost control over the vehicle which hit the supporting wall.
In the mishap, both father and son received serious injuries. They were immediately shifted to GMCH, Jammu, where they were responding well to the treatment, when the last reports came in.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
