SAMBA, Jan 21: In a tragic road accident two persons were killed and two others were injured when two cars collided head on at Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Pla More near Jatwal in Samba district today.
The deceased have been identified as Baber Khan and Feroz Khan S/o Younus Khan of Barjani Samba. Both brothers died on spot. While husband wife duo travelling in another car were injured and they were taken to District Hospital Samba first wherefrom they were referred to Medical College Jammu.
According to reports two cars bearing registration number PB 06 3946 and JK02BG 83286 coming from opposite direction collided head on at NH at Pla More near Jatwal resulting into the death of two persons travelling in JK02BG/83286 while the two persons travelling in PB06/3846 were injured.
The injured were identified as husband wife duo Rakesh Mahajan, S/o Kuldep Mahajan of Gurdaspur Punjab and his wife Rimy Mahajan. They are under going treatment in GMC Jammu. The dead bodies of Baber Khan and Feroz Khan have been shifted to DH Samba for post-mortem.
Samba Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law and started investigation.
