RAJOURI, Feb 27: The police have recovered two girls who were kidnapped from Thannamandi area of district Rajouri today.
While one of them was recovered from Kathua area, the other along with kidnapper was recovered from Jammu today. A police officer said that 18-year-old Zarina (name changed), daughter of Nassir Hussain of Khabla village in Thannamandi was allegedly kidnapped by one Sheraz Ahmed, son of Mohd Iqbal of Khabla few days back. The parents of the girl lodged an FIR in this connection. A police party raided a hideout in Jammu area today and recovered the girl. The kidnapper was also nabbed.
Another girl Nahim Akhtar (name changed), resident of Bhathia village in Thannamandi was kidnapped by one Bader Khan, son of Qasim Din of Bakori (Kotranka). A police party under the supervision of SDPO Thannamandi raided a house at Kathua today and recovered the girl. The girl after medical examination was restored to the family. The accused has been arrested.
